When Branes Collide

This is mostly for fun discussion, so I'm giving fairly small points. However, if someone gives a really good (IMO) answer, I'll probably bump the eventual reward accordingly.

There's this basic recent theory that two higher dimensional "branes" could have come into contact some 13.5+ billion years ago. Energy from that contact is proposed as the origin of 'The Big Bang' and creation of our universe. (I get an image of us being bed-bugs on God's sheets.)

Assuming that there's some kind of reality behind that theory... What happens to us next year when those two bump into each other again?
