California Marriages ?

Fact or Fiction, Real or Illusion?

Marriages in California are increasing, and acknowledgement of this as being legal law (for New York) now exists but there are contentions.

Bearing in mind this is a political question (not religious), please disuss politically. What kinds of similar laws and observations are going on in the US and aroung the world. What do you think about it, what ought it be, what do you think will come of it, etc.

Octogenarians Del Martin and Phyllis Lyon took the first vows in San Francisco's ornate City Hall in a ceremony presided over by Mayor Gavin Newsom.

New York will honor California unions.

California is the second state, after Massachusetts, to marry same-sex couples, but it is the first ready to grant licenses to couples from any state. Gay marriage is rejected by 45 states
