An old man died behind the wheel of his car, and hit the guy, killing him.
The very old bridge that he was crossing collapsed, hurling him to his doom.
It could indeed be a lot of things :) A bridge that collapses because of old age, a car that hits you because the driver died of old age, getting a serious indigestion from meat that wasn't fresh, etc.
Our very old sun goes supernova, killing this fine young man.  :)
The cause of HIS death was old age?

They're all very good answers, but the answer is simpler than you guys think... I'm upping the points
The battery on his pacemaker gave out through old age and he suffered a fatal heart attack?
The cause of death was old age... of one of the equipments that was helping him stay alive (at a hospital, for instance).
Hi, KelvinY.  I guess my answer is "the same as yours"!    I´m sorry.

(Just to mention: I have not read it before writing mine, of course. )

I can see that there is only a two minute difference in times for the posts, so I doubt you had time to read my reply before typing and posting yours. Now what was that saying about great minds thinking alike? ;)
His name was Young?
>> His name was Young?
That's what ozo already said, and was one of my first thoughts too ...

Exactly!   ;)

Another try:  old age... but young if considered among his peers... example: he died when he was 98 years old, but all the other (say) monks who live in the same (say) Tibet community, live on average 106 years...     :)
Congrats, KelvinY.  Well thought!    :)
