Math puzzle

Hi experts,
Anyone know how to solve this puzzle?

this is serial number :
A B C D E
3 6 8 2 1

add up A+B+C+D+E = 3+6+8+2+1 = 20
then 36821 - 20 = 36801 (u only need to mention 801 , and another number at the front either A or B)
so if u mention 3801 (A=3 placed the front), then i can guess B = 6
if u mention 6801 (B=6 placed at the front), then i can guess A = 3
:)
