Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. internet connection through LAN problem after a dialup connection

Salve!
I have this problem: after a succesfull internet connection with dialup, I try to connect to Internet through LAN, but the internet explorer browser doesen't want to connect to any web sites! In command prompt (windows 2000)I tried ping with address and names and was OK ! Only the browser is not working... I disconect my pc from LAN and I connect again through dialup. In this way was working again. So after I restart my PC I tried again with LAN connection , but the same problem! Even the Netscape is not working, and all configuration regarding gateway is OK (rememmber, the ping with IP address and names is working!). Strange, ha? It seems that the browser doesen't want to recognize the LAN connection, only the dialup connection...What can I do to fix this ?
