Cannot access a website!

I want to get access to http://www.beatport.com

I have asked my friend over MSN and he can get access no problem to the full FLASH based online store. When go to the address all I see is a html page with a list of links to a short text paragraph.

Steps I've already taken are:

1. Re-Installed to the latest version of Flash plugin from adobe.com

2. Tried the URL in Firefox, IE and Safari for Windows

3. Changed my routers DNS servers to the oens on http://www.opendns.com

4. Restarted my computer

5. Run spyware scan <- Lol I know, im desperate!

6. Tried a few proxies, got a different result image below

7. Lowered secuirty settings to minimum in the browser and disabled firewalls

I have formatted the drive and reinstalled windows and it doesnt help. Another computer on the same router can connect to the site perfectly! :(

You must accept Javascript, that text (the links you see) is the alternative text if Javascript is disabled, well the Flash movie is loaded by the swfobject so there is a problem with your javascript i guess.

Can you try this site http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/swfobject.html and post the results? is the owner of the script that site uses.

I have tried multiple suggestions from that post and none of them worked :(

Im using Vista 64 Bit. I I had to find the file in wow64 directory in the windiows folder. I did what they said and it didnt work. :(

I hate vista is a pile of shite and ive been using it since january. I regret buying the trash! I might consider upgrading to XP

The above site is down now so was going to check it. Ive just realised after a format (using tyhe vista format tool during installation) that my windows folder is greater than 46.5gb. This couldnt be right?

I don't have Vista installed anymore, but could be right.

Well lets see if i can help you to reach that site.

1. If you can see this the site correctly http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/swfobject.html (you will see a movie clip with a displayed text) it means is not your fault, since the site was using an old version of the swfobject 1.4.4.

2. Try http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/flashversion.html if show you the flash version info.

3. uninstall/reinstall flash player http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157

The steps on that site were to give admin permissions to some files, but first try the above solutions, and remember, if you can see http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/swfobject.html is not your fault, so the site must upgrade if they want a compilant website.

I see the image and text on that test link... I want access to beatport. It worked and then all of a sudden it stopped working... wtf??

No worry :)

Open a pointer Q in Macromedia Flash forum that meaby other expert know ehat could happen, i really thing it's because the site don't use the last version of an script used to view flash, but not sure.

it happens with me on EE too sometimes ...i just quit my browser and start again and it goes right ....

Now i see the image, didn't see at the begining and the problem is the site not you, there is nothing you can do until they change it.

Browse this url https://securecontent.beatport.com/js/swfobjs.js and tell me if you can see some code, because this file is not loading properly and you get a swfobject not found, so the flash movie will not start.

Browse the link with ie and FF, and if FF ask to save a certificate choose to save it permanently, then try to browse the site again.

Is there no way this can be fixed? I mean everyone else can visit the site, why cant I ? :/

I open test 1 the html page within and the site loads perfectly. I can then browse the proper site from there. Listening now. Is it secure to access the site using this method from now on or what would the implications be? Thanks :)

I still cannot access the site directly, even after all of the aboves and full install of vista and format etc..

Though now I am VERY happy so far at least I can get in the back door for now ;)

Will allocate the pojnts to you once I can access the thing properly

Because its flash I presume it wont get updated automatically with new content and the songs im listening to are the songs that were there when you saved the file instead of for example the new ones thay may or may not have added today?

nop, you'are lucky, the site is updated using the url not the files inside ;)

So as i guess you could see it? if so, the site is not updated as it should.

Also you can see the loader which is loading data from the internet, and you can delete the swf files inside the folder, and a good thing is that all the content is html or links to external files accessible in this way.

Enjoy it with this method until they update the site.

i cannot login with username and password to the site, no error I just keep logging in but it doesnt seem to do anything :(
