The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

How to process data of a survey??  1000s of scenarios!

Asked by marklye in Algorithms, Visual Basic Programming, PHP Scripting Language

Tags: VB, VB .NET, VBA or PHP

Hi Guys

Im trying to write some code in VBA that will give all possible scenarios of the results of a survey.  For eg, the survey asks questions such as:

1. Are you Male or Female?
a) Male
b) Female
2.What age group are you?
a) Under 18
b) Between 18 and 25
c) Between 25 and 50
d) 50 and over
3. Where do you live?
a) England
b) US
c) Australia
d) Germany
4. What car do you drive?
a) Toyota
b) Ford
c) Opal
d) Other

I want to be able to list all possible scenrios, including any number of answers such as

1. Male
2. Male, Toyota
3. Male, Between 25 and 50, Germany, Ford
4. Female,. Australia

So on, so forth.  Im going to include % met that criteria doing the survey for each possible scenrio, but if I can get help sorting the logic out for how to list each possible scenrio, I think I'll be able to get the percetnage as the hard yards will be done.

There will be literally 1000's upon 1000's of results.  I just cant get my head round it!!

If someone can answer in either vb, vba, or PHP that would be great!

Ive uploaded a spreadsheet with example data...Hope Ive made sense here...

Thanks yet again experts!
Mark
