Visual Studio 2005 : How do I link windows application to text file as data source?

Asked by FJRMill in .Net Editors & IDEs, Visual Studio .NET 2005

Yes, I appreciate that we would normally use a DB  :)

I want to build a little ap to filter and display data which is held in a txt log file.   I have done this previously in Access by creating a linked table to the .txt file.  Sadly, Access is not appropriate here :(  so I'm hoping to use VS2005.

I'm pretty new to Visual Studio - could anyone offer advice?

Many thanks.Start Free Trial
