If it's always mmddyyyy you can use the substring of that to extract month, day, and year to three seperate strings, cast each to integer, then instantiate an actual dateTime variable and assign it those values. That's probably what I would do as it would make it an actual dateTime object that could then be used to calculate timespan or anything like that if necessary. If all you're trying to do is reformat it for presentation, you could either manually inject the "/" in to the DOB string, or do as I said before, split it in to three strings using the substring class, and then make a new string like strFormattedDOB, then make
strFormattedDOB = strMonth & "/" & strDay & "/" & strYear
