Controlling secondary display on a laptop.

In Microsoft office PowerPoint 2007 the user has the ability to select which monitor the slides will be displayed on. If the user selects to have the slides shown on a projector (secondary display), he can have different notes shown on the primary display screen. While this is not a very big trick PowerPoint, will make the changes to the display driver to extend the desktop onto the second display even if it is not set for two displays. It also has the ability to change the screen resolution of the display.

What I want to do is extend the desktop to the secondary display and set the resolution for the display that goes to the external projector "programmatically" in visual basic. I would also like to save the starting settings and return the display settings to the starting settings when the progam exits.
