question on conversion of windows app from 2005 to 2008

Asked by s_chamichian in Microsoft Visual Basic.Net, Visual Studio .NET 2005

I recently opend up a 2005 solution in 2008.  I went thru a conversion wizard upon opening my project and it succesfuly converted.  However, when I go to add a new form or item, none of the new 2008 language features appear.  For example the Linq to sql component.

If I open a new project I can see them, but not in mine.   Is my project still a 2005 one?  If so, why was there a conversion routine.
