Add/remove operation is impossible...

Asked by AndyAinscow in Microsoft Visual C++.Net

Tags: operation, code, because, impossible

I have done a full install of Visual Studio 2005.
Created a new project (MFC) and am attempting to add an event handler for a menu.
I have selected the menu in the resource editor and clicked on the add event handler option (context menu)
I select the class from the list that I want to add the handler to and click 'add and edit'
Now I get an error message - Add/remove operation is impossible, because the code element 'Cxxxxx' is read only.

Checking in explorer and it isn't read only.
Ideas as to what is going on?  (Bug in VS 2005 ?)Start Free Trial
