List box fetching database stuff

Hi,

I have a website that has a few list boxes, what i  want to be able to do is if the first lst box is called lst1
and there are 6 options within the lst box, and someone picks option 1 then on pressing search I want the datagrid to display the items fetched from the database.
For example lst1 i pick option 2 then press search
it goes to the database and gets everything that releates to option 2 and displays it in the datagrid.

Any help is much appreciated.
