ASP.NET 3.5, dataset ,DAL New Error message for ALL DAL in project after making a change to one DB table.

Tags: ASP.NET 3.5, IE7, none, Configure Table Adapter [table adapter name] failed.
I have been working DAL and BLL design style into a major project. THe project runs fine but when try to modify one of the table adapters in the DAL I get this message (the name of the table is tblTempUserInfo):

"Configure TableAdapter tblTempUserInfo failed.
Unable to find connectionString [connection string name] for object 'web.config'. The connection string could not be found in the application settings or the data provider associated with the connection string could not be loaded."

This has all been working fine and as I mentioned the project runs fine including parts that use the DAL.
I have only 2 DALs in the project. Both give the same message when I right click a table adapter and chose Configure. I have been able to do this in the past. The only change I have made is to change some fiels in a DB table that is accessed by one (but not both) of the DALs. I have examined the .xsd file for the DAL and the <Connections> and <dbSource> elements look fine.

Any ideas on what is happening? I sure do not want to have to rebuild all DALs in a project after changing just one underlying DB table!
