Question

scrollRectToVisible() does not scroll to left or up

Folks'es,

I have a problem with scrollRectToVisible() which seems quite strange:
+ I have a JPanel in which I draw 'icons' and stuff (no layout manager)
+ I want to programmatically highlight on of my icons and make sure it is visible
+ everything works as I want to with 2 exceptions:
  - if the icon is to the left of the visible area scrollRectToVisible only scrolls to the proper vertical position, so that I have to manually scroll horizontally to see the icon
  - the same happens if the icon is 'above' the visible area
+ if the icon is to the right or below everything is fine.

Any ideas why that could be?
