Need a function to get IP, Logged User, and OS name

Asked by lmedwilliams in C++ Builder

I need to be able to use either core WIN API's or INDY 10 components to be able to detect the current logged in user NTID, a machine's IP address, and determine the operating system type on a remote WinXP or Win2000 machine by checking only the systems fully qualified dns name.  C++ or Builder C++ code only please, no .NET or ASP, although WMI is an acceptable alternative..

I've looked over all the INDY components, none I see offer this capability.  And I can't seem to find any API calls that return this information without tons of code.  I'm not good enough with WMI yet to figure out how to do things with that.

Does anyone have an API call or know of an INDY component that will get me this?

Thanks!
