After I changed to #include <iostream> , I am getting the following error.
‘cout’ was not declared in this scope.

First I had included <iostream.h> and I got the following error.
root@localhost]# g++ test.cpp
In file included from /usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-l
from test.cpp:1:

I removed .h from iostream and now i am getting the following error. Any suggestion

Hi,
This error message tell us that when 'cout' is invoked, the compiler doesn't included the iostream header. Check for both cout and include to be in the same file (or linked reference), in the proper order.
As it is probably ok, lets check for the namespace:
using namespace std;
usualy post immediately after the include declaration.
