I recently installed C++ Builder 2007 Professional. Though I applaud Borland for what could be a marvelous product, I have found it to have a severe performance issue.
I copied a CPP Builder 5 project to a new folder and opened it with Builder 2007. The first time that I went to use the project, it worked wonderfully.
At some point I got to testing some of the new functionality, and clicked the 'Model View' tab. The thing has been junk ever since. If I click on a 'Recently Opened Project', the Builder hangs. If I get to the project from the 'Open Project' tab, things start fine, and quickly erode into worthlessness. This silly 'Parsing /path/to/object/name' status box appears, and slowly parses an item or two, eventually hanging on about the 4th or 5th object.
Has anyone else seen anything similar?
