How to monitor Internet Explorer for Onchange event in the address bar

Hello

just wondering if anyone knows how to monitor internet explorer to determine if the address in the address bar has changed if so I want to do an action. To simplify the problem I want to assume that only one window is open at any one time and will deal with the more complex problem of multiple windows and browsers at one time as a secondary issue.
