maybe unsupported 16 bit resource in file main.dfm

Browse All TopicsHi All,
Every now and then when I try and build one of my projects, it stops with a fatal error saying: Internal Error LA30. And then after I try and build it again I get a message stating "Access violation at address 0A3CA3E5 in module 'RLINK32.DLL'. Read of address 0C5C01F0".
I have seen some answers in Experts before, but most point to an external link which is no longer reachable, so not sure what it was actually saying!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards.

Hey thanks for the feedback senad.
The issue with the RLINK32.DLL doesn't happen every time - if the file was corrupt or missing, would it not be a constant problem?
The "unsupported 16 bit resource in file" I have not had before, has there been issues in the past with it?
I don't have Borland C++ installed, and am running on XP, not Vista.
Well in the end managed to get it to stop showing the fatal error message during builds. Not sure exactly if this is the cause\solution but:
- I removed all non-required links to other units within the uses section (there was a kind of spider link to other forms that should not have been there in the first place).
- I moved some components and panel controls from the main form and onto new forms (in particular an activeX video component).
This all led me to the conclusion that the main form itself was getting simply too big (hundreds all panels, tabs, images etc) and during build it sometimes struggled to bring it altogether - it needed broken up over a few forms.
