I would recommend using foreach. It calls a target and each iteration you get a new scope and the ability to repopulate the properties.

I have a filelist that contains xml files, I want to loop through the file list and load an xmlproperty and extract an element value from each of the files. I have the loop working and displaying the correct files, but it keeps displaying the element value from the first file it reads. Can someone tell me what I might be doing wrong?
<target name="test.loop">
<for param="file">
<path>
<fileset dir="${base.loc}">
<include name="**.xml"/>
</fileset>
</path>
<sequential>
<xmlproperty file="@{file}"/>
<property name="svc.guid" value="${service(guid)}"/>
<echo>message="${svc.guid}
<echo>message="@{file}"</e
</sequential>
</for>
</target>

i know what my problem is, Now I need some suggestions.
The problem is the property_name is created and populated on the first iteration, Now for the subsequent iterations I can not overwrite the value. So I'm looking for a way to make a dynamic property name for each iteration. Is this possible?
