The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Can you make sure that you have all the jar files in the classpath from MyEclipse? It seems that you are missing the jar file the contains the StringUtils.class file. Look at the startup script of weblogic and see what classes you need. The problem is that MyEclipse starts weblogic withotu using the script and thus the classpath is not properly set.

Thanks.
I got rid of the java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/utils/StringUtils error by adding the wls-api.jar to the classspath in the WebLogic 10.x perfrences.

But know I am getting the following error-

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/t3/srvr/T3SrvrLogger
      at weblogic.Server.appendToClassPath(Server.java:128)
      at weblogic.Server.intializeClassloader(Server.java:140)
      at weblogic.Server.main(Server.java:66)

I think these classes all used to be in the weblogic.jar file. At least in the old version I was using (8.1).

Can anyone tell me where to find the T3SrvrLogger class? I looked everywhere and can't find it.

I am not sure in which fjar file the T3Srv... class is. I would suggest you get a tool like jarbrowser (http://jarbrowser.sourceforge.net/)  or jarminator (http://jarminator.sourceforge.net/) and find out what class belongs to what jar file. Then add all the jar files you need in the classpath. This should solve all the NoClassDefFoundError issues.
Accepted Solution

Thanks girionis.

I used jarbrowser to locate the jar file for the T3SrvrLogger class and added it to the path. Then received another NoClassDefFoundError.

Repeat above again and again.

Finally just added all the jars in the 'modules' directory under the weblogic install and I can start the server from MyEclipse just fine now.

jarbrowser is a nice little tool. probably be using it a lot in the future. thanks.
