Executing procedure with "OUT" parameter

I have a Sybase stored procedure which is having IN and OUT parameters. Please let me know how to execute this stored procedure and get the OUT parameter values into powerbuilder script.

Below is the example.

Hi,

you can declare the  procedure  in your transaction object as local external function

subroutine    rpc_yourprocedurename(string acctno,string name, double ref double qty, ref double amount,ref string message  RPCFUNC ALIAS FOR "~"PROCEDURENAME~""


and when you wnat to run this in you script


integer qty
string  acctno,name,message
double amount


 sqlca.rpc_yourprocedure(acctno,name,qty,amount,message)
IF SQLCA.SQLCode = -1 THEN
      MessageBox("SQL error", SQLCA.SQLErrText)
END IF

DECLARE Emp_proc procedure for GetName (:acctno, :name,:qty,:amount,:message) ;
EXECUTE Emp_proc ;

and you should have the values

but i always use the first type
