Here is the deal I have an explosion that I need to export as a video from Lightwave 8 and get it into Flash and maintain a transparent background. I have the full Adobe CS3 suit and Final Cut and Motion for my mac. And I don't mind using multiple programs to accomplish this goal. If anyone can tell me know to make that happen using any of those programs it would make my day. Thanks!

If you have exported the explosion render out with an alpha channel you can import the movie into Flash and
File > Import > Import Video
Browse to and select your explosion movie file
Continue
Select an option for example 'Progressive download from a web server'
Continue
Select the quality you would like then 'the interesting bit' click the video tab and tick the encode alpha channel checkbox.
This should import your movie as a .flv with a transparent background.
Have a go and see how you get on.
