Browse All TopicsHi there,
This shouldn't be a difficult question for most of you game (DirectX) programmers out there:
I want to start 3D game programming (FPS) with Direct3D/DirectX and I am searching for a good book on that topic.
I have good knowledge of Java and OOP and know some C (++) (learned at school) so it should really be a book wich starts at the basics of Direct3D in C.
I already have downloaded the SDK and I have MSVS 6.0. I can get the examples and some tutorials to work.
ps. I know I use the word 'I' too much but I didn't really feel like making good English sentences :p

hmm.. there are several books out which are very good. a good way to start is with wordware books. http://www.wordware.com i've read some of them. one of them is advanced 3d game programming. in my opinion it's also a book for beginners.
