To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating. - The Grade of the Solution
- The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
- The Number of Author and Expert Comments
- The Number of Experts Contributing
- The Feedback of the Community
Your Input Matters Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Hi Experts,
I'm new to game programming and I'd like to have some insight in the big picture of things. What I think I know about a game engine amounts to about this: that I use absolute time to determine where my objects are at a given time. That's all good if I'm building something as simple as an object rotating about an origin. But what about a 2D game where my pieces are for the most part, stationary. Only after certain events, I'd like to animate the movement of objects... Anything I've ever done with graphics has been in a paint function.... So how do I put 2 and 2 together to draw certain pieces stationary, while something else is happening... Do I update the position and orientation of the moving objects on their own thread? Is there some better way to do this?
