With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution.   • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Isometric Z-Order Depth Sorting

Ok, z-ordering in an isometric map is no problem if you have the base of all visual objects the same size as a tile...

So my question is what if the base of the object your drawing is larger than one tile.  
Look here for a small example http://kdmm.net/iso-sample.jpg.

See in this picture if I was to draw all objects in order starting at 0,0, the Dark blue box would overlap the first purple cylinder...  My guess is to give each object a Z-order value and then draw them in order, which is great and all but what would be a good method to determine a value for each object...
