Can't activate BB 8830 wirelessly

I have two users already running on the bes server fine and I went to add another user and the user is stuck at initializing. I have read some posts that say this is normal. When I goto enterprise activation on the BB I get the error the server is not responding contact sys admin. The other users are working fine and when I send the activation password to the user, it sends it to the mailbox on outlook and the user can see it, so it seems to me the bb server account can get to the mailboxes fine, the perms seem fine since other user are okay. I have rebooted the server with no success. The bb software is on a win 2003 standard server and the exchange is on another server and has been working fine for the other users. I called verizon and they said the device should not need anything else to attach to a bes server.

Sometimes on the BB I have to cancel activation then reset a new activation password.
Then I try and rerun activation wirelessly.
I had one BB that would not activarte wirelessly and had to do it the old fashioned cable way

I have tried that numberous time with no success. I have not tried via a cable yet but will tonight. I also didn't try another users phone since I didn't want to activate the phone and then not have it be ready for them to use fully. The phone I am using is an extra line not being used yet so there is no suer impact.

Are you sure the extra phone is activated with the service provider?
If so then hok the phone up to your account and see what happens...
If no go them use a cable and it should be golden.

It is activated with privider, internet work and the phone works. When I try the enterprise activation it just sits there and then gives me a server error on the BB.

Ah, what errros does it give?
You can always try to wipe the handhelp and then reactivate

Try a PIN to PIN test from the device in question to/from another. If that works, I would wipe the handheld, remove the user from BES, re-add user, set handheld date/time/timezone then re-try wireless activation. If it fails, please make sure to write the error message you see on the handheld. Also, is there any indication of issues in the BES server application eventvwr?
