I recently installed I-berry blocks on my 8703 not knowing it was not for my model. Now I just get a hour glass that comes on and off from time to time can't get to a menu tried taking the battery out etc. I can connect to it with the desktop manager for only about 10 seconds while the light is on the blackberry then it shuts off. Like it's trying to reboot over and over again. Is there a way to wipe apps off? Or is there a backup database I can try and load to it?
You need to connect your device to your PC and have Desktop Manager installed and ready. Once the device is connected open Blackberry manager and select application loader. If app loader is able to connect to your device you can uninstall the iBerry theme.
I found my own solution. By going to the Desktop Manager folder in Program Files I used the data loader stand alone without opening the desktop manager because it crashes due to the phone cycling on and off. So using the data loader I removed the battery from the phone and hooked up the usb which enables the data loader to connect to the phone. Once it is connected replace the battery so not to lose any information. Then all you have to do is load your OS back on I used 4.2 and let the phone reboot!! I guess this happens to quite a lot of blackberry's they call it a Nuked phone.
