DUPLICATE CALENDAR ENTRIES
I AM USING MICROSOFT OUTLOOK 2007 TO SYNC MY CALENDAR ENTRIES TO MY BLACKBERRY CURVE 8330. WHEN I SYNC MY CALENDAR THROUGH BLACKBERRY DESKTOP MANAGER, IT WILL CREATE DUPLICATE CALENDAR ENTRIES ON MY BLACKBERRY. IT ALSO GIVES ME A MESSAGE THAT, FOR EXAMPLE, 8000 ENTRIES REMOVED, 8000 ENTRIES ADDED...AND IF I'D LIKE TO CONTINUE. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING AND HOW CAN I FIX THE PROBLEM?
One other step to add, which has corrected it for me, is to resend the service book to the bb device.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE, BUT UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE DONE BOTH OF THESE THINGS. THE BB HAS THE LATEST OS AND MY DESKTOP MANAGER IS THE LATEST VERSION FOR MY DEVICE. I DELETED THE EMAIL ADDRESS THAT HAD MY CALENDAR ENTRIES AND THEN READDED IT, I RESENT THE SERVICE BOOKS, DID A HARD RESET ON THE DEVICE, BUT STILL GIVING ME THE SAME MESSAGE WHEN I SYNC MY CALENDAR. ANY OTHER SOLUTIONS OR IDEAS?
Yes, delete all service book entries, a couple you may not be able to but delete what you can and try the resend again.
If no joy on outlook go to Tools > Options. On the preferences tab select Calender options. Under that you should see the check box "always use local calendar" make sure that is unchecked.
Also when you set up the sync on the desktop manager did you set up the calendar as a 2 way sync?

i searched blackberry.com for troubleshooting, and i attempted to go under tools, options, but there was no option or check box for "always use local calendar"....the first time i set the calendar up as a 2 way sync through the BB desktop manager, but yesterday after my hard reset, i configured it to only do a one way sync from my computer to my device...it seemed to be fine, but when i did a sync again a couple hours later, it gave me the same message....so many entries were being deleted and so many were being added. i hit cancel because i wasnt sure what to do from that point. it seems that when i do the two way sync, this is when the duplicate entries appear or i get that strange message. i will try to attach the screen shot when i am back at work tomorrow so you can see the message that is appearing.

Clear the calendar on your BlackBerry and then sync it. Do this in the Desktop Manager under Backup and Restore. You should see a third option called "Advanced". Go into this and it will load all the database on your BlackBerry on the right side of your screen. Go down to calendar and click "Clear". Then go back and synch your contacts.
Glad I could help and good luck in the future.
Ans also make sure you use the latest BB desktop manager.
