Also as a FYI the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software does not sync email (e.g read\unread or deletions etc) when a user is on BIS.
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI am thinking this won't work since the BB 9530 has it's own BB Op System and not Windows Mobile. Any other alternatives?
Using BB sync software (version 4.7) for a personal computer only (not BES) takes forever to sync, and does not "automatically sync when connected", and will want to delete items in Outlook saying that it was deleted on the device (which the person did not do). Too much going on here. Tried the upgrade to v4.7 to no avail.
Thanks in advance!

Be careful when the sync process wants to delete a large number of items from Outlook. This generally occurs when you change the sync range (e.g. number of days prior\future items). If you are prompted to delete a large number of items cancel the sync and perform a device backup. After you have done a backup from Backup and Restore > Advanced clear your device calendar (select items on the right and press clear at the bottom). Then change your sync settings so the calendar only syncs future items.

Hi, a Blackberry device can only sync data via BlackBerry Desktop Manager or a BlackBerry Enterprise Server. The only way to have Desktop Manager sync automatically is leave the application open and it start the sync process when the device is connected. What type of email server is the device connected to and how have you configured the device to collect email in the BIS client (e.g. POP3, IMAP or OWA)?
