Browse All TopicsWhen a user creates a meeting on their blackberry 9000 Bold it appears one hour off in exchange. For example, if I create a meeting for 1:00 - 2:00pm it will appear in outlook as 2:00pm - 3:00pm.
If the meeting is created in outlook then it works as expected.
The blackberry environment is run on
exchange 2007: service pack 1 rollup 9.
Blackberry enterprise server: V4.1.6 Rollup m6 bundle 105.
All the timezones on the servers are set correctly and adjust for daylight savings options are checked.
Searching the internet there appears to be a fix for this issue for users in a exchange 2003 but not for exchange 2007. Are we missing a daylight savings patch? I would have thought the software came shipped with any patches.

I know this sounds basic, and I am sure you did, but did you check that the blackberry/computer are in the correct time zone? Also, is it all corrected now that DST is past? If so, is the blackberry server running the Exchange 2007 manager or is this an upgrade from an older version of Exchange? I have seen where BES was running on Windows 2000 with the Exchange 2000 adminpack and the Exchange server was moved to Exchange 2007 and had the same problem.
I have checked that both BES server, Mail Server and Handheld are all showing the same timezone. This was a fresh install of Exchange 2007 and the BES has the 2007 management tools installed. You can actually see the appointment on the handheld enter in at the correct time, then a second or two later it moves by an hour. We are in Australia, so DST doesnt finish until 4th April 2010. I wonder if it has something to do with RIM's cloud servers having different timezone / DST settings to us. Thanks for the info.
