Using Windows Media Player SDK in C# .NET

Hello experts;

I want to playback video files using my PocketPC.

Can I develop an application using VS.NET Compact Framework C# to use Windows Media Player SDK. Im assuming this SDK will allow me to play the video file. Im thinking of using this as an alternative to directshow.

Any ideas.....Please help
