Getting error in pocket pc application through Cisco router

My branch office is connected to HO thru Cisco 1712 through a point 2 point link. The network is working fine all users can run their application thoughout the network. In this branch office, some users (outdoor sales team) uses their Pocket Pcs to send and recevie updated data from/to HO. This application now hangs on its way since 2 weeks. This problem occurs only if this point 2 point link is going through the router. If i connect the link directly to the switch (bypassing the router), the application works fine.

Other Desktop applications are working fine whether thru router or not. Is there any tuning required to fix this issue in the router? actually it was working fine and didnt change any settings.

As troubleshooting steps, i tried to reduce the 'TCP adjusst-mss' to all possible values, didnt help
