I have a user that lost his Blackberry, It is wiped. Now, in the mean time, I want the user to use a Treo 700wx with Microsoft Activesync.
I have removed his Blackberry account from the BES. But Activesync won't allow the user to sync. It starts the sync process, then stops with an error of attention required.
I have allowed synchronization for this user in Exchange.
You have users on BES and active sync at the same time without any issues. The most common issues with ActiveSync are caused by not having a trusted digital certificate (e.g. VeriSign or Thawte) on your Exchange server (configured via IIS).
