Hi Molly....
This is what I found about the Ce web-server in a microsoft news-group. I need it myself so I hope that it WILL be included in the device I am developing for.
I do not work at MS John Spaith, however does. He was the one who posted the
server originally in this group and if you search the archives of this group
you will see his Microsoft.com address.
Platform Builder has the webserver for inclusion in custom designed Windows
CE V3.0 devices. However, keep in mind that Platform Builder != Windows CE
V3.0 != PocketPC. The core OS is separate from both Platform builder and
PocketPC . Those are applications of the core in the form of an adaptation
kit. PocketPCs do not include a webserver and as John indicated below MS has
not plan to provide it for that platform. Theoretically you could get the
bits from Platform Builder and create an install package for it but you may
find other needed coreos pieces are missing from the PocketPC even if you
didn't you'd still be faced with the licensing problems in that you can't
distribute the pieces of PB individually. However since Compaq publishes
technical specs for the iPaq you could create a custom version of the OS
with the webserver (but you wouldn't get the Pocket PC Shell [not
necessarily a bad thing in my mind! ] However, You may still run into
licensing issues there as well. As I understand the licensing requires you
to release with the hardware.

Pocket PC has pocket internet explorer embedded in rom. This is pretty primitive, it reports version as IE 3.02 for compatibility.
Where did you get the idea that a web server was available. This sounds pretty unlikely. (unless you are looking at running linux where anything is possible with a little work!).
At the moment I think you are limited to a subset of javscript on this platform, no VB scription host available.
Let me know if you find anything else.
