The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Notifications in Windows Mobile 6.0!!

Asked by itsvtk in Windows MobileProgramming

Hello Experts,

I want to develop a mobile Notification application for our Organization.

We have Notifications functionality in our intra net web site.
It will just show alerts messages related to work/office.

For ex: Every day we have to fill our time sheet.  If you miss one day, the next day if you open intra net web site, it will show you alert message "Timesheet Warning".

I want to develop same functionality for Mobiles.  Users should get Time sheet notifications in their mobile if they don't fill their time sheets for a day.

I would like to write a service for Windows Mobile 6.0 which runs continuously in Pocket PCs.  It will call a web service for every 12 hours. If web service returns any notifications, it will display notification in Pocket PC.

I developed a web service and try to call the web service from Windows Mobile 6.0 Classic Emulator.
I got below error message:
"Could not establish connection to network."

I tried to call this web service from Windows Application, it is working fine. But it is not working in Mobile Emulator.

I found the code to display Notifications in mobile.

I just need to figure out the way to connect to the web server and get the alert messages from that server.

Please help me to figure this problem.

Thanks in advance,
itsvtk
