Hi Folks,
We have a number customers who we provide PC's and support to; however, we only have a very few engineers to carry out installation work. As such we intend to produce an installer with all the required packages wrapped up so that they can, essentially, click go, follow the walkthrough provided and have a happy, fulfilled life. So to speak.
First Issue:
Is it possible to do this? Multiple previously generated .msi's packaged into one, run in a certain order, etc?
Second Issue:
One of the apps to be installed needs to be configured and then a more up to date version of the software installed over the top of it. Is that possible?
I have the feeling that what I'll be told is to package all the .msi's up so that they can be extracted to a single folder and then each of them run in turn from there, and if that's the case would I be in a worse position if I suggested just running each from the cd we'll provide?
Thanks, in advance,
Jes
