The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. After make the upgrade a server from Suse Enterprise 9 SP4 I see that error messages whent I try to use vi or rpm. Any suggestions?

I recently made an upgrade from a server running Suse Enteprise Server 9 SP4 to Suse Enterprise Server 10. During the installation process I do not see any error. When finish the instalation, I try to use vi or rmp -qa, when that error message appear:

correo-dn:/usr/lib # vi /etc/HOSTNAME
vi: error while loading shared libraries: libselinux.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

correo-dn:/usr/lib # rpm -qa
rpm: error while loading shared libraries: librpmbuild-4.1.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I am looking this file and found a different version in /usr/lib

correo-dn:/usr/lib # ls -la librpm*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 362708 Jun 16  2006 librpm-4.4.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 156432 Jun 16  2006 librpmbuild-4.4.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 980168 Jun 16  2006 librpmdb-4.4.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 567232 Jun 16  2006 librpmio-4.4.so

Any suggestion?
