Problem with SQL Connection string in Web.Config

I am using Wise Installation Studio 7 Pro for a web installation.  I am using the SQL Connection dialog  to get the desired database connection string.  I can successfully retrieve the WISE_SQL_CONN_STR property for use in SQL Scripts.  However, I am having trouble referencing it in the web.config.  I have enabled Dynamic Content on the web.config file and used the Attribute Editor to assign the dynamic value of the connectionString to [WISE_SQL_CONN_STR].  But, when I look at the web.config after installation, the literal value "[WISE_SQL_CONN_STR]" has been put in the connection string.  I have not had any luck in the documentation and forum searches.  Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?

I tried it, and it worked. The only extra effort was this: in dynamic content, you click button "edit", and the next dialog has dropdown box "property"; however the property WISE_SQL_CONN_STR is not in it, because it's not preexisting. So I opened tab Project/Properties and created this property with value being one space. Then it appeared in the dropdown box, and I inserted it. See the result at the picture. After the installation, web.config correctly had what I have specified in the sql dialog.

That worked nicely.  The part I was missing was creating the property manually.  One problem remains.  The format of the wise connection string is different from what is expected in the web.config.  All I really need from the wise connection string is the server name and maybe the user id, password, and database name.  Is it possible to pull these bits of information out and construct the web.config connection string from them.  I guess what I am asking is if it is possible to have the sql connection dialog populate some other properties besides the WISE_SQL_CONN_STR property.

If you open sql connection dialog and look at the events [WiseSQlParm] under button "next", you will see a whole bunch of properties - Wisesqlservername and so on. So, create another event - [MYSQLSTRING], and assign the value using those handy properties. See article "SetProperty ControlEvent" in windows installer help.

That ended up working pretty well, though it took some trial & error.  I created a new event, [MY_SQL_SERVER_NAME], which is also the name of a property I created.  Under that event I put [WiseSqlServerName] for the Argument.  Turns out you must have the brackets around it.  And, I added the condition 1 like the other sql event.  Then I just used the [MY_SQL_SERVER_NAME] event in my web.config dynamic content.  Ex. "Data Source=[MY_SQL_SERVER_NAME]; User ID=myUser; ...".  Hope that helps anybody else dealing with this problem.
