You are right, I do not mean nano seconds. I used ss.nnn because mm is for minutes.
So how do you go from tick to time/date?

Browse All TopicsHello,
I want to format a date/time to show milli-seconds. The regular Format methond does not include this:
Format(Now(), "HH:mm:ss dd MMM yyyy")
I would like to be able to include nano seconds as follow "HH:mm:ss.nnn".
Is there a way to achive this in VB.Net 1 ?
Else, how do you do it manually using now.tick?
I do not know what the tick value represents.

I don't think you mean nano seconds as in 10^-9, that would be a very small number indeed.
The now.tick is the mili-second (thousanth of a second) counter that is part of the system time clock.
If you loop, outputting the now.tick you will see the value increasing from 0-999 for each second.
