.NET Framework for Windows CE

Hi There

We're trying to operate an Ajax based web page on a Symbol MC9060 mobile computer running Windows CE 4.2. I am told by our development team that we need to upgrade the .NET framework to 1.1 - however the versions that I have found are not compatible with Windows CE.

Can anyone please recommend where I can download the appropriate framework for my device so that Ajax will work correctly on my devices?

you can out the ".net Compact framework" on your device but not the ".net framework". Ajax will also have to be supported by the browser and i dont think the browser in ce 4.2 is compatible

The .Net framework in your scenario is a server technology. Your browser does not need anything .Net related to run but it does need to support the AJAX capabilities as Mikal mentioned.

What you're running into is most likely a version issue. You need to try and upgrade your web browser or your OS. (The latest Windows Mobile is 6.1 and CE is 6.0 i believe.) Or perhaps get a different web browser. There are a number of mobile web browser alternatives to IE such as Opera Mini.
