TOTALLY stuck trying to repair/re-install net Framework modules

I need to repair/reinstall my .net framework modules.  

I tried re-installing 3.5 and got the following error message (below).
I tried repairing the earlier versions (via control panel add/remove programs) and it just hung for minutes on end.

How can I repair/re-install my .net framework modules.
