Data Binding in a Gridview a decimal type field to a float type control

Hi I have a gridview control and in a template have a server control that accepts only currency values of double type. Unfortunately my field that I want it to bind to is of decimal type.
At runtime I get of course an invalid cast error.
Is there a way to cast/convert between the two during the binding so they can play nice or I have to change my type (I rather not).
