Question

How do i compile my solution with msbuild.exe

When I compile my solution (which includes a web project) in visual studio it compiles without problems, when I try to compile this solution with msbuild.exe using the first command in the attached code it gives me the following error for each include statement in my code (e.g. <!--#include virtual="/Common/meta.aspx" -->):

/MyCurrentProject/Programs/Page1.aspx(10): error ASPPARSE: Failed to map the path '/Common/meta.aspx'.

When i run the second (alternative) command in the attached code it returns the following error:

ASPNETCOMPILER : error ASPRUNTIME: The target directory is not empty, and does not appear to contain a previously compiled application. Please delete it manually, or choose a different target.

How do i successfully compile this solution using msbuild.exe like I can with visual studio?
