  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Invalid pointer error in asp.net

Hi There,
I am passing a list of ids in the query string. The list can be hundreds of ids...From the parent page I collect the ids checked and pass them to a new window in the form of a query string..This works fine if the list is small..but when the list of ids get bigger I am getting this error.."Invalid pointer". A window pops up with break, continue options..
I am not sure of the answer, but I have two questions is this regard. .Does the query string that is passed has any limitation on the string length??
Also these ids are passed to a stored procedure and finally evaluated in a where condition like..
---where id in ('comma separated string of ids'). Is there any limitation on the "in" statement in sql??
Any answers are appreciated. Please help me..
