How do I change my settings, so that my application does not get saved when I Start Debugging (F5)?

Hi,

I’m using Visual Studio ASP.NET 2.  How do I change my settings, so that my application does not get saved when I Start Debugging (F5)?

Hi,

in VS.Net 2005, click on Tools->Options to display the Options dialog box.

In the tree displayed on the LHS click on the "Projects & Solutions" node and then on "Build and Run". At the top of the dialog there is a drop down list labelled "Before building:". You can change this setting to "Don't save any changes"

  VB Defaults

RHS
  Visual Studio Projects Location
  Visual Studio User Project Templates Location
  Visual Studio User ItemTemplates Location

Perhaps it's because I'm using VS MSDN Release Date Nov 2005?

Are you using Visual Studio Professional 2005? Because I'm surprised that you are not seeing the Build and Run node under Projects and Solutions.

I'm using VS Professional 2005 MSDN Release Date Nov 2005, and unfortunately it appears that they is a difference.

Hi asdavey,

I had to change my VS 2005 profile to General, so that the "Build and Run" option would appear by doing the following:

Select "Tools" menu
Select "Import and Export Settings"
Select "Reset Your Settings"
