Hi ynaina,
Even though AJAX stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML and it is the "marketing name" for remote scripting which is a tehnique fir creating web applications using javascript to make partial updates on the web page instead of an entire post-back / reload, "ASP.NET AJAX" is the name currently chosen by Microsoft for their implementation of AJAX which consists of both server side and client side libraries, formerly known undertheir code name "ATLAS".
