hi
i placed my code on the server(with correct conn string)
and i createda virtual directory
when i run it i get this error

how to see what is the error as i cannot run the application on the server

couple of other things.
insure your directory/web site is setup to run an applicaiton.
insure iis is set to the proper frame work level.
have you tried dumping in a standard html page and make sure iyou can display it.
how are you calling the function is it through a web page or a web services.
add some try catches and log the errors to a file so you have them and can review them

A few things to check:
* is .net installed on the server
* if it is, are there other asp.net websites running?
* try registering iis, using command like "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\
What does your website do anywayz?
