Correct me if I am wrong but isnt UTC the same as GMT which if that is the case then EST is supposed to be -5 not -4

Browse All TopicsI am in the EST timezone my computer has the right time on it but when I create a new user in my site it auto assigns a created date time value which is 4 hours ahead of time although I dont believe this will cause an issue on this project I am concerned that it may cause an issue in the future I am using a express sql file not sure if that matters but does anyone know why this might be happening and how to fix it?

Four hours ahead of EDT is UTC. If you create users from multiple timezones, and want to know when each event occurred with respect to the others, UTC is your best bet.
